The variable that decides whether that goes smoothly is lead time. Semi-custom cabinetry runs four to eight weeks from order, and custom can be longer. We order and confirm the whole cabinet package before a single old box comes off the wall, because a kitchen sitting open waiting on a delivery is how projects turn into stories.

Countertops follow cabinets, not the other way around. The tops get templated after the cabinets are set and levelled, which is a three to seven day gap on quartz or granite. We fit a temporary work surface so you are not living out of a cooler during it.

Refacing is a legitimate middle option when the cabinet boxes are solid — new doors, drawer fronts and veneer at maybe half the cost of replacement. If your boxes are particleboard that has swelled at the sink base, refacing is money on a losing hand and we will tell you that instead of taking the easier sale.
