Sizing and discharge, not just hanging aluminium
Baton Rouge gets well over fifty inches of rain a year, and a lot of it arrives in twenty-minute bursts. Standard 5-inch K-style gutters with two downspouts cannot carry that off a large or steep roof, which is why so many homes here have new gutters that still overflow at the corners. The fix is arithmetic: roof area and pitch determine the gutter size and how many downspouts you need, and on bigger roofs that means 6-inch gutters and 3x4 downspouts.
The second half is discharge. A downspout that dumps against the slab or a raised foundation pier is a foundation problem waiting to happen, and in this clay soil that shows up as movement inside the house. We extend, bury or pipe discharge away from the structure and tie into existing drainage where it exists.
We install seamless aluminium formed on site, with hidden hangers screwed into the fascia rather than spiked. Guards are worth it under pine and oak — we will tell you which type suits the debris you actually have rather than selling the most expensive screen.
